The men who served in the Royal Navy in the Dreadnought Era are fortunate, from our standpoint, in that their Service Records have been digitised in a largely intact and entire manner at the National Archives in Kew outside London.

We have yet to segregate men under categories as to whether they are

  • civilian (of which we have relatively few documented anyhow)
  • Royal Navy (records at TNA under reference ADM 196)
  • Royal Naval Reserve (ADM 240 and 340)
  • Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve (ADM 240 and 340)
