Maurice John Hervey Bagot

Lieutenant Maurice John Hervey Bagot, R.N. (18 October, 1891 – 1 November, 1914) was an officer in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

The son of Colonel Bagot of the Army, retired.

Bagot served in Dreadnought from May 1909 to September 1910, and then in Natal and Foxhound.[1]

Bagot was appointed to Venerable on 17 June 1912 and was promoted to the rank of Sub-Lieutenant on 15 September, 1912.[2]

Bagot was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 15 September, 1914.[3]

Bagot was appointed to the armoured cruiser Monmouth on 15 September 1914 and would die in her when she was lost at the Battle of Coronel on 1 November, 1914.[4]
