Commander (retired) Ernest Beeley, D.S.C., R.N. (29 October, 1883 – 25 December, 1929) was an officer in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

On 14 February, 1913, Belley was made an Acting Mate.[1]

Beeley was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 14 February, 1915.

Beeley was appointed in command of the patrol boat P18 on 20 February, 1918.[2]

Beeley was appointed in command of the fishery protection vessel Jos. Berry in March 1920, discharged 1 June, 1920.

Beeley was appointed in command of the fishery protection vessel Thomas Jarvis (renamed Exe on 1 October, 1920) on 2 June 1920, discharged 13 October, 1920.

Beeley was appointed in command of the fishery protection vessel Kennet on 1 January, 1921, discharged November, 1921.

Beeley was appointed in command of the fishery protection vessel Ettrick in November, 1921, discharged January, 1923.

Beeley was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 14 February, 1923.

Beeley was appointed in command of the fishery protection vessel Doon on 9 October, 1925, discharged 3 October, 1927.

Beeley was placed on the Retired List due to age with the rank of Commander on 29 October, 1928.
