U.S.S. McLanahan was one of one hundred and fifty-six Clemson Class destroyers completed for the U.S. Navy.
Service
The ship was commissioned on 5 April, 1919 with Commander Reuben B. Coffey in command.
McLanahan was one of the fifty U.S. destroyers transferred to the Royal Navy for World War II, becoming H.M.S. Bradford.
