U.S.S. Sturtevant was one of one hundred and fifty-six Clemson Class destroyers completed for the U.S. Navy.
Service
She was commissioned at the Philadelphia Navy Yard on 21 September, 1920, but Lieutenant Commander Ewart G. Haas did not assume command before 4 November.
