U.S.S. Zane was one of one hundred and fifty-six Clemson Class destroyers completed for the U.S. Navy.
Service
Zane was commissioned at the Mare Island Navy Yard Navy Yard on 15 February, 1921 under the command of Lieutenant Commander Philip Seymour.
