H.M.S. Orpheus was one of one hundred and three destroyers of the "M" class built for the Royal Navy during the Great War.

Service

Orpheus was assigned to the Twelfth Destroyer Flotilla in September, 1916,[6] but was switched to the Thirteenth Destroyer Flotilla the following month.[7]

In November, 1917, Orpheus was one of eight "M"s evicted from the Thirteenth, being sent directly to the Fourth Destroyer Flotilla where she was under the command of the Commander-in-Chief, Devonport.[8]

She was reduced to C. & M. Party at Chatham on 15 October, 1919.[9]
