H.M.S. Murray was one of one hundred and three destroyers of the "M" class built for the Royal Navy during the Great War.

Service

Around March 1915, Murray joined the Tenth Destroyer Flotilla, which would become part of the Harwich Force.

Around July 1917, Murray moved over to the Sixth Destroyer Flotilla, which was a component of the Dover Patrol.

On 14 January, 1918 Murray collided with Vehement through was was determined to be an error in judgement on the part of her Lt. in Command, Hugh Bourchier Wrey.[7]

Murray collided with Phoebe on 6 September, 1918.[8]

Murray was reduced to C. & M. Party at Portsmouth, 17 October, 1919.[9]
