H.M.S. Nessus was one of one hundred and three destroyers of the "M" class built for the Royal Navy during the Great War.

Service

Nessus was one of the first three destroyers in the Twelfth Destroyer Flotilla when it was first formed in November, 1915.

She operated with the Twelfth Destroyer Flotilla at the battle of Jutland.

Nessus sank on 8 September, 1918 after colliding with the first class protected cruiser Amphitrite in the North Sea. No lives were lost in the accident.
