Seventy-three men were accepted for Naval Cadetships under the new training scheme after July qualifying examinations for the Royal Naval College, Osborne term of September, 1903. Departing from previous practice when entrances were made to Britannia, the published list was alphabetical, and did not indicate scores or even order of merit in the entrance examination.[1]

This term contains an inordinate number of engineers and emergency list men.

The Service Records of Trevor Tempest Parker and Geoffry Kirkland Rylands indicate they joined this term, as well.

Passing Out

The Times published a ranked list of the 56 cadets' examination scores upon passing out from the training cruiser H.M.S. Cumberland in April, 1908. Oliver Bevir was placed first, followed by Kenneth Edwards.[2]
