Captain Charles Arthur Aiskew Larcom, D.S.O. (13 April, 1891 – ) served in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

Larcom's father was a Lieutenant Colonel in the Royal Artillery. He passed out of the Training Establishment on 15 May, 1908 and received his first appointment to Albemarle on the same day.[1]

Larcom was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 15 November, 1912.[2]

Great War

Interbellum

Larcom was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 15 November, 1920.[3]

Larcom was promoted to the rank of Commander on 30 June, 1926.[4]

Larcom was promoted to the rank of Captain on 31 December, 1932.[5]

World War II

Larcom was appointed in command of the light cruiser Sheffield vice Renouf on 14 December, 1939. He was in command when the ship shadowed the German battleship Bismarck and was superseded on 1 August, 1941.[6]

After a brief stint as Commodore-in-Command, Aden vice Graham, Larcom was placed on the Retired List on 28 July 1942.
