Hugh Christopher Arnold-Forster
Commander (Emergency) Hugh Christopher Arnold-Forster, C.M.G. (9 December,1890 – ) served in the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
Arnold-Forster was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 15 July, 1913. He was transferred to the Emergency List at his own request on 2 February, 1914 after completing a twenty month appointment in Monmouth on the China Station. During the war, he served in the Downs Boarding Flotilla until January 1916 and then took up a post in the Trade Division, eventually finding himself in Kingstown, Jamaica. As Assistant Naval Attaché, he worked from Cuba.[1]
His name was removed from the Emergency List as medically unfit on 16 January, 1920.
Arnold-Forster was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 15 July, 1921.[2]
World War II
Arnold-Forster was promoted to the rank of Commander on 8 May, 1946.[3]
