H.M.S. Meteor was one of one hundred and three destroyers of the "M" class built for the Royal Navy during the Great War.

Service

On 24 November, 1914, Meteor was made half-flotilla leader of First Destroyer Flotilla.[6]

In April 1915, she was transferred to the Tenth Destroyer Flotilla[7]

In March, 1917, she was sent to the Sixth Destroyer Flotilla of the Dover Patrol.[8]

Alterations

In 1915 or 1916, she was one of sixteen light cruisers and destroyers to trial a Wise Pressure Telegraphy System Type B for torpedo control.[20]
