H.M.S. Stonehenge was one of sixty-seven "S" class destroyers built for the Royal Navy as the Great War was ending.

Construction

Due to an error in her plan drawing, she was completed to a scale 112 that of other vessels in her class.[6]

Service

Stonehenge went ashore in a gale on 1 November 1920, "thirty miles from Smyrna. It is feared she will become a complete loss. Warships are standing by salving guns and stores. There has been no loss of life."[7]

Her crew was paid off on 30 November, 1920.[8]
