H.M.S. Trinidad was one of sixty-seven "S" class destroyers built for the Royal Navy as the Great War was ending.

Service

Trinidad was added to the Twelfth Destroyer Flotilla sometime between September and November, 1918. In March 1919, as the Royal Navy was re-organised for a post-war world, she was placed in the Seventh Destroyer Flotilla as one of its sixteen modern destroyers.

Trinidad was re-commissioned at Malta on 9 December, 1920.[6]

She re-commissioned at Portsmouth on 21 September, 1923. By March 1925, she was attached to the Seventh Destroyer Flotilla of the Atlantic Fleet.[7]

The ship was reduced to Reserve at Portsmouth on 21 December, 1925.[8]

She paid off into Rosyth Maintenance Reserve on 6 October, 1927.[9]

The destroyer completed to special complement at Chatham on 23 April, 1929.[10]
