H.M.S. Scythe was one of sixty-seven "S" class destroyers built for the Royal Navy as the Great War was ending.

Service

She reduced to Reserve at Devonport on 12 November, 1919.[6]

Commissioned 4 April, 1923.[7]

Reduced to three-fifths complement on 28 December, 1925.[8]

Re-commissioned at Devonport on 26 May, 1931.[9]
