H.M.S. Serene was one of sixty-seven "S" class destroyers built for the Royal Navy as the Great War was ending.

Service

Serene was reduced to Reserve Complement at Devonport on 8 July, 1920.[6]

She was commissioned on 6 October, 1927 and placed into Maintenance Reserve at Rosyth.[7]
