H.M.S. Angler was one of the Royal Navy's eleven "D" class destroyers.
Service
Angler was part of the Chatham Flotilla in mid-1899 under command of John Michael de Robeck.[8]
Angler arrived at Sheerness with six other destroyers from the North Sea on 1 October, 1901.[9]
Angler paid off at Malta on 30 December, 1904.[10]
In December 1905, she was in reserve at Malta.[11]
In mid-1911, she was in the Mediterranean.[12]
In mid-1913, she was still in the Mediterranean,[13] arriving at Brindisi on 11 September, 1913 under the command of Lt. Cdr. Thomas Kennedy Maxwell.[14]
