H.M.S. Coquette was one of eleven destroyers of the "D" class — one of the two-funneled "30 knotters".
Service
In April, 1902, Thrasher collided with Coquette, and the former ship's Captain Raikes was found at fault and warned to be more cautious in future.[8]
In 1904, Coquette was involved in a collision with the destroyer Myrmidon.[9]
She was one of twenty-seven T.B.Ds. of the Portsmouth Flotilla to participate in the Annual Manoeuvres of 1909.[10]
She left the Nore to exercise with five other destroyers and seven torpedo boats of the Nore Local Defence Flotilla on 18 June, 1912.[11]
In mid-1913, Coquette was serving at The Nore.[12]
