H.M.S. Sportive was one of sixty-seven "S" class destroyers built for the Royal Navy as the Great War was ending.

Service

Sportive recommissioned at Malta on 17 June, 1920.

Godfrey Ratcliffe Chambers took command of Sportive for passage to Rosyth in early 1928. Once there, she went into Maintenance Reserve on 30 March, 1928. She would remain in this disposition until being sold in 1936.
