H.M.S. Pangbourne was one of one hundred and fourteen Hunt Class minesweepers completed for the Royal Navy.
Service
Paid off 23 September, 1919.[7]
In January, 1921, she was at Southampton, one of twenty-eight paid off minesweepers there.[8]
In late 1925, she and Albury and Dunoon were three of twelve minesweepers in the Central Reserve at Sheerness selected for foreign service which would be fitted out for hot weather to accommodate senior officers.[9]
Commissioned on 22 March 1927, by early 1929 she was with the First Minesweeping Flotilla, bearing the formation's Senior Officer.[10] She remained in this role until at least early 1933.[11]
She re-commissioned at The Nore with "the equivalent of a Reserve crew" on 7 May, 1934. By mid-1937, she was in the Reserve Fleet at The Nore.[12]
