H.M.S. Goole was one of one hundred and fourteen Hunt Class minesweepers completed for the Royal Navy.
Service
On 2 September 1926, Goole replaced H.M.S. Irwell as drill ship for the Royal Naval Reserve divisions at Manchester. At the same time, Goole was renamed Irwell, and the former ship became Eaglet.[7]
