H.M.S. Pinner was one of one hundred and fourteen Hunt Class minesweepers completed for the Royal Navy. She was renamed H.M.S. Fitzroy at some early point, perhaps as soon as her completion.

Service

H.M.S. Fitzroy served from 1920 to 1939 as a surveying ship. In World War II, she was reconfigured to her envisioned role, as a minesweeper.
