H.M.S. Sportive was one of sixty-seven "S" class destroyers built for the Royal Navy as the Great War was ending.

Service

Sportive recommissioned at Malta on 17 June, 1920.[6]

Godfrey Ratcliffe Chambers took command of Sportive for passage to Rosyth in early 1928. Once there, she went into Maintenance Reserve on 30 March, 1928.[7] She would remain in this disposition until being sold in 1936.
