Pembroke Local Defence Flotilla
The Pembroke Local Defence Flotilla was a formation of the Royal Navy which provided local defence to Pembroke.
Pembroke Defence Flotilla
A small force of four torpedo boats participated in the Test Mobilisation in July 1914.[1]

This little force would remain constant clear through May, 1917, when the flotilla expanded and took on the additional responsibility of Milford.[2]
Milford and Pembroke Local Defence Flotilla
In May, 1917, the flotilla was tasked with the additional burden of meeting Milford's needs.[3]

To meet its enlarged mission, four patrol boats were added, bringing the strength to four torpedo boats and four patrol boats.[4]

Submarine C 6 on "special duty" has arrived from XXX, bringing the strength to four torpedo boats, four patrol boats and one submarine.[5]

P18 has joined from Lowestoft, P23 from the Dover Patrol, and P 44 and P 55 were added from undiscovered assignments, as P35 and P39 have left to join the Portsmouth Escort Flotilla, bringing the strength to four torpedo boats, eight patrol boats and one submarine.[7][8]

P18, P23, P46 and P53 have left to join the Portsmouth Escort Flotilla, being replaced by P 51, P 61, P 62 and P 68 which appear to be just entering service, maintaining the previous overall strength of four torpedo boats, eight patrol boats and one submarine.[9]

For the first time in the entire war, the torpedo boat team has been changed: T.B. 033 has left.

The destroyers have been removed, replaced by an ad-hoc submarine flotilla dubbed the "Platypus flotilla" in honor of its depot ship has joined, making the strength nineteen patrol boats and six submarines.[25]

The patrol boats have all been pulled out, and the submarine flotilla has lost E 23 to the "periscope school" Cambeltown at the Clyde.[26]

It appears The flotilla has been abolished. R 7 and R 8 have gone to the Portsmouth Defence Flotilla. R 11 has joined Fourteenth Submarine Flotilla. R 12 has gone to form "periscope school" Cambeltown at the Clyde. Platypus is labelled as a "miscellaneous ship in commission".[27]
