H.M.S. Echo was one of eighteen "E" and "F" Class destroyers completed for the Royal Navy.

Service

Lieutenant-Commander Leonard Chisholm Sinker was appointed to oversee her completion on 17 April, 1934.[3]

Re-commissioned at Devonport on 30 April, 1935 for service with the Fifth Destroyer Flotilla of the Home Fleet.[4]

Re-commissioned at Devonport on 30 April, 1936 for service with Seventh Destroyer Flotilla of the Home Fleet.[5]
