Fate: by Königsberg at Zanzibar[5]

H.M.S. Pegasus was one of eleven Pelorus class cruisers completed for the Royal Navy between 1898 and 1901.

There was a later seaplane carrier named Pegasus.

Service

Pegasus commissioned at Chatham on 17 January, 1899, for service on the South-East Coast of America Station.[6]

She recommissioned at Devonport on 11 March, 1913 for service at the Cape of Good Hope.[7]

She arrived at Zanzibar on 29 July, 1913.[8]
