Charles James Norcock

Vice-Admiral (retired) Charles James Norcock, R.N. (30 September, 1847 – 14 March, 1933) was an officer in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

Norcock was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 29 December, 1871.[1]

On 19 May, 1877 was appointed as a staff officer in Vernon.[2]

Norcock was promoted to the rank of Commander on 18 November, 1882.

Norcock was promoted to the rank of Captain on 30 June, 1889.

Norcock was appointed in command of the second class protected cruiser Flora in February, 1898.

Norcock was placed on the Retired List on account of age on 30 September, 1902. He was promoted to the rank of Rear-Admiral (retired) on 3 October, 1902 and then to the rank of Vice-Admiral (retired) on 1 January, 1907.
