H.M.S. Caroline was one of seven Satellite Class corvettes completed for the Royal Navy.

Service

Re-commissioned at Hong Kong on 18 February, 1890.[6]

The ship was reduced to a hulk in 1897. In April, 1908 she was renamed Ganges and became a training ship.

In the first half of 1912[Inference] the destroyer Harpy collided with her.[7]

She was again renamed, as Powerful III in September 1913 and finally became Impregnable IV in November of 1919.
