H.M.S. Curlew was one of two Curlew Class gunvessels completed for the Royal Navy.
Service
Commissioned at Devonport on 22 June, 1886 under the command of Captain Anthony Kingscote.[6]
In June 1906, she was listed for sale at a July 10th Portsmouth auction of "Obsolete War Vessels and Other Craft" as "Lot 7".[7]
