Wion de Malpas Egerton

Vice-Admiral Wion de Malpas Egerton (16 April, 1879 – 28 December, 1942) was an officer in the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
Egerton was promoted to the rank of Commander on 30 June, 1912.[1]
As a Commander, he was appointed in command of the destroyer Violet of the Seventh Destroyer Flotilla on 5 November, 1912.[2]
He was appointed in command of the new Lance on 29 July, 1914.[3]
Egerton was promoted to the rank of Captain on 30 June, 1917.
In July 1917, he was appointed in command of the light cruiser Penelope.
He was appointed command of the light cruiser Centaur in January, 1918.[4]
He retired on 1 June, 1930 and was advanced to the rank of Vice-Admiral on the Retired List.
