Service
In 1895, she was one of eight large torpedo boats of at least 125 feet length and two smaller ones stationed in Chatham.[6]
Around 1906-1907, with the issuance of torpedo boat numbers to the first of the Cricket class torpedo boats, the existing Torpedo Boats numbered 25 to 79 had a "0" prepended to their number. This vessel, therefore, became T.B. 073.[7]
T.B. 073 would be one of the last of the 125 footers to be sold, surviving until 6 February, 1923 when she was sold to B. Newton alongside her sister T.B. 71.[8]
