H.M.S. Walker was one of twenty-one "W" class destroyers completed for the Royal Navy in 1917-18.
Service
Walker joined the Eleventh Destroyer Flotilla in February, 1918[7] and and remained with that formation until it was disbanded in March, 1919, at which point she was allocated along with the Eleventh's other "V"s and "W"s to the newly-fashioned First Destroyer Flotilla.[8]
She was re-commissioned at Devonport on 9 December, 1920.[9]
Walker was re-commissioned at Devonport on 3 May, 1923. By March 1925, she was working with the First Destroyer Flotilla as part of the Atlantic Fleet.[10]
