H.M.S. Medea was one of five second class protected cruisers of the Medea class completed for the Royal Navy in 1889 and 1890.
There was also a destroyer named Medea that played a more extensive role in the Great War.
Service
Recommissioned at Devonport on 16 May, 1911. In mid-1913, she was assigned to the Mediterranean.[6]
