H.M.S. Medea was one of four Medea class destroyers laid down for the Greek Navy but completed for the Royal Navy.
In 1925, the former monitor H.M.S. M.22 was renamed Medea.
Service
Upon her completion, Medea joined the Tenth Destroyer Flotilla in mid-1915. In mid-1916, she left the flotilla, eventually to re-appear with the Ninth Submarine Flotilla in October, 1916 and then in the Tenth Submarine Flotilla by November.
In March 1919, she moved over to the Seventh Submarine Flotilla, which was essentially S.F. 10 under a new designation.
