Vice-Admiral SIR Charles Edward Barrington Simeon, C.B.E., K.B.E. (24 December, 1889 – November, 1955) served in the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
The son of a Dr. E.[?] A. Simeon.
Simeon entered the Navy direct from Worcester in mid September, 1906.
Simeon was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 15 March, 1911.
Simeon was in the light cruiser Chester at the Battle of Jutland.
Simeon was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 15 March, 1919.
Simeon was promoted to the rank of Commander on 30 June, 1924.
Simeon was promoted to the rank of Captain on 30 June, 1930.
World War II
Simeon was promoted to the rank of Rear-Admiral on 15 January, 1941.
Simeon was promoted to the rank of Vice-Admiral on 7 November, 1943. He reverted to the Retired List on 20 May, 1946.
