H.M.S. Lewes was one of thirty-two Ascot Class paddle minesweepers completed for the Royal Navy.

Service

Paid off 25 October, 1919.[7]

In January, 1921, she was one of thirteen minesweepers lying, paid off at Rosyth.[8]
