H.M.S. Sandown was one of thirty-two Ascot Class paddle minesweepers completed for the Royal Navy.

Service

In October 1918, she was operating in the Eighth Fleet Sweeping Flotilla, and bearing that formation's Senior Officer.[7]

In January, 1921, she was one of thirteen minesweepers lying, paid off at Rosyth.[8]
