H.M.S. Teviot was one of the Royal Navy's thirty-six "River" class destroyers.

Service

In April, 1908, she was one of ten Rivers expected to arrive at Portsmouth in order to have H.M.S. Vernon install wireless telegraphy equipment in them.[9]

In June, 1911, she went to Gibraltar under the command of Lt. Gerald Cartmell Harrison. Upon arrival in Gibraltar, Harrison was to go over to command Kestrel. Teviot was then to undergo a retubing refit at the Dockyard, which would complete by late January, 1912.[10][11]

In mid-1913, operating with the Ninth Destroyer Flotilla — a patrol flotilla.[12]
