H.M.S. Eglinton was one of thirty-two Ascot Class paddle minesweepers completed for the Royal Navy.
Service
In January, 1921, she was one of six paddle minesweepers allocated to the Central Reserve of Minesweepers, along with thirty-four twin screw minesweepers, all under C. & M. parties.[7]
