H.M.S. Ascot was one of thirty-two Ascot Class paddle minesweepers completed for the Royal Navy.
Service
Ascot operated out of Portsmouth as part of the humble Ninth Fleet Sweeping Flotilla in 1918 until she was torpedoed off the Farne Islands by UB 67 on 10 November 1918. She was the last British warship to be sunk by direct enemy action in World War I.
