H.M.S. Hart (1895)
Builder: Fairfield[1]
Ordered: 1893-94[2]
Laid down: 7 Jun, 1894[3]
Launched: 27 Mar, 1895[4]
Commissioned: Jan, 1896[5]
Broken up: 1912[6]

H.M.S. Hart was one of forty-two "A" class destroyers built for the Royal Navy — one of the "27 knotters".

She was broken up before the war.

Service

In July, 1904, complaints from Vice-Admiral Noel of the China Station about the condition of his T.B.s and T.B.D.s prompted a review of his assets by First Lord of the Admiralty Selborne. Within, it was noted that Hart's boilers had last been re-tubed in 1898, but that a form S.355 dated April 1904 stated they had another 21 months life left in them.[7]
