William Wilson (b)

Temporary Lieutenant R.N.R. William Wilson, D.S.C., R.N.R. ( – ) served in the Royal Naval Reserve.

He is not the same man as the older Vice-Admiral William Wilson. His page title bears a "(b)" to disambiguate the two.

Life & Career

Wilson was promoted to the rank of Temporary Acting Lieutenant R.N.R. on 28 August, 1915.

In January, 1917, he was lent to Godetia to be in charge of the Fourth Minesweeping Flotilla. He remained there until being ordered to report to the Admiralty on 30 April, 1917.

Wilson was promoted to the rank of Temporary Lieutenant R.N.R. on 19 June, 1917.

Demobilised 11 December 1919.
