The Second Fleet of the new Home Fleets was formed from the Third Division of the Home Fleet in 1912.[1]
History
From the end of 1913 (at least) through mid 1914, the Second Fleet included:
- Fifth Battle Squadron (eight battleships)
- Sixth Battle Squadron (five to seven battleships)
- Fifth Cruiser Squadron (three to four cruisers, mostly light)
- Sixth Cruiser Squadron (three to four armoured cruisers)
- Seventh Destroyer Flotilla (twenty older destroyers and a dozen T.B.s)
