Captain Percy Todd, C.B.E., D.S.O. (19 June, 1895 – 24 October, 1943) served in the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
The son of Deputy Inspector General Howard Todd, R.N..[1]
Todd was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 15 October, 1916.[2]
Todd was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 15 October, 1924.[3]
Todd was promoted to the rank of Commander on 31 December, 1929.[4]
Todd was promoted to the rank of Captain on 31 December, 1936.[5]
World War II
Todd commanded the depot ship Tyne from 1 June to 23 July 1942.[6] He then took on an appointment as Commodore, Second Class Commanding, Mediterranean Destroyer Flotillas.
Todd died in the sinking of H.M.S. Eclipse.
