Percy Todd

Captain Percy Todd, C.B.E., D.S.O. (19 June, 1895 – 24 October, 1943) served in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

The son of Deputy Inspector General Howard Todd, R.N..

Todd was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 15 October, 1916.

Todd was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 15 October, 1924.

Todd was promoted to the rank of Commander on 31 December, 1929.

Todd was promoted to the rank of Captain on 31 December, 1936.

World War II

Todd commanded the depot ship Tyne from 1 June to 23 July 1942. He then took on an appointment as Commodore, Second Class Commanding, Mediterranean Destroyer Flotillas.

Todd died in the sinking of H.M.S. Eclipse.
