Francis James Wylie

Captain Francis James Wylie, (24 September, 1896 – ) served in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

The son of the Right Honourable Mr. Justice Wylie, a Judge of the Supreme Court in Ireland.

Wylie was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 15 October, 1917.

Wylie was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 15 October, 1925.

Wylie was promoted to the rank of Commander on 31 December, 1930.

Wylie was promoted to the rank of Captain on 30 June, 1938.

World War II

Wylie was placed on the Retired List on 8 July 1947. In 1948, he proceeded to Denmark on business. He became involved in the business of the International Telegraphy Union.
