James Abernethy McCoy

Captain James Abernethy McCoy, D.S.O. (17 June, 1900 – 9 March, 1955) served in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

The son of solicitor J. A. McCoy, Esq..

McCoy was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 15 October, 1920.

McCoy was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 15 October, 1928.

McCoy was promoted to the rank of Commander on 30 June, 1935.

World War II

McCoy was promoted to the rank of Captain on 30 June, 1941.

He was placed on the Retired List on 7 July, 1950.
