George William Hudson
Engineer Rear-Admiral SIR George William Hudson, Royal Navy (8 February, 1861 – 30 January, 1941) was an officer of the Royal Navy.
Early Life & Career
Hudson was made an Assistant Engineer on 1 July, 1881. He was sent to H.M.S. Asia for a course in torpedo instruction.
He was promoted to the rank of Engineer with seniority of 1 September, 1886.
Hudson was promoted to the rank of Chief Engineer with seniority of 1 June, 1894.
He was promoted to the rank of Staff Engineer with seniority of 1 June, 1898.
He was promoted to the rank of Fleet Engineer with seniority of 1 June, 1902.
As an Engineer Commander, Hudson was appointed to the battleship Magnificent from 2 January, 1903 through 6 February, 1906.
As he was completing nearly two years service in Leviathan, Hudson was promoted to the rank of Engineer Captain dated 21 December 1911.
Hudson was promoted to the rank of Engineer Rear-Admiral on 8 February, 1916.
