Commander Albert Markham Hood Phillips, R.N. (20 March, 1876 – 26 November, 1914) was an officer in the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
Born in Darmouth the son of Staff Captain J. Phillips, R.N..
Phillips was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 30 June, 1898.
Phillips was appointed in command of the destroyer Wear on 28 May, 1906.[1]
Phillips was promoted to the rank of Commander on 31 December, 1910.
He was appointed in command of the destroyer Cossack on 1 May, 1912.[2]
Having been in command of torpedo craft since December, 1903 Phillips was appointed to the battleship Bulwark as executive officer on 2 February, 1914 and was killed when she blew up on 26 November, 1914.
