Michael Oliver Dundas Ellwood

Captain Michael Oliver Dundas Ellwood, D.S.O. (13 July, 1894 – ) served in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

The son of Reverend Charles Edward Ellwood, Clerk in Holy Orders.

Ellwood was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 15 Julky, 1916, which was adjusted to 15 April, 1916.

Ellwood was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 15 April, 1924.

Ellwood was promoted to the rank of Commander on 30 June, 1929. He pled guilty in a Court Martial in early 1933 on a charge of neglect of duty when Shamrock was taken under tow.

Ellwood was placed on the Retired List at his own request on 7 June, 1934. He was promoted to the rank of Captain on 13 July, 1939.
